Join the Highrock Network in supporting our sisters and brothers in India suffering from COVID-19
We are offering three coures, all beginning on Tuesday, October 5th.
Our courses are now at capacity, but you can still sign up to join the waitlist for one of our courses.
Here are our three course options:
This is a course for speaking and listening practice. It will meet for 8 weeks from 6:30-8:30pm on Tuesday evenings at 255 Great Road in Acton, beginning on Tuesday October 5th.
Each week, students will hear a short presentation on a weekly topic. Students will receive a packet with guiding conversation questions, vocabulary and idioms related to the topic. Then they will meet in 1-on-1 or in small groups with a fluent English speaker for Conversation Practice on that weekly topic. This course is usually best for intermediate or advanced level students, or for beginners who want to focus on speaking practice.
Note: Masks MUST be worn at all times inside the building at 255 Great Road (regardless of vaccination status). Childcare will be provided for those who need it, and all children over the age of 2 must also wear masks at all times.
This is a course for speaking and listening practice. It will meet online with flexible scheduling for 8 weeks, beginning the week of October 5th.
Each student will be paired with a fluent English speaker for conversation practice, and you and your partner will choose a time to practice conversation each week. Every week will focus on a different topic. Each week, you will receive a document with conversation questions, vocabulary and idioms on a topic, as well as a link to a video with two fluent English speakers discussing that topic. You and your conversation partner will use the conversation questions to practice talking in English about that topic each week. This course is usually best for intermediate or advanced level students, or for beginners who want to focus on speaking practice.
Level One English is a traditional, textbook-style course for beginners. It will meet online on Zoom from 7:00-8:15pm on Tuesday evenings, beginning on October 5th.
New AND returning students will need to purchase a $25 textbook for this course. (For returning students, you will be starting the next book in the series, so you will need a new book). Scholarship is available for both new and returning students. Please email email@example.com if you will need scholarship to cover the cost of the book.
