There are many ways you can get involved! We are currently looking for:
Conversation Partners — Fluent English speakers to practice one-on-one with our students for our in-person or online classes — no previous teaching experience necessary! Childcare is available for in-person volunteers. Click HERE to sign up as a Conversation Partner for Fall 2021!
Childcare Workers — We are looking for adults and teens to help provide childcare during our in-person ELL classes. This is a crucial service that separates our courses from many other local offerings, allowing many students to access English courses for the first time. In-person courses for our fall session will be held on Tuesday evenings. If interested, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Video Interview Team Members — Help us demonstrate a sample English conversation for our Conversation Course participants! For our fall session, we will plan to present and record an interview during the Tuesday evening class time on the weekly topic. We will then edit and post this interview for our virtual class participants. We are looking for interviewers, interviewees, and tech volunteers to help us generate our content. If interested, email email@example.com.
Language Support Team Members — volunteers proficient in a language other than English who would be willing to help us communicate with potential students and/or translate materials. If interested, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
